600 MHz Oscilloscope Calibration Option (5500A-SC600)
Manufacturer: Fluke

Calibrating your oscilloscopes up to 600 MHz is now easy

The SC600 enables the versatile 5500A and the enhanced performance 5520A to calibrate nearly all your oscilloscopes fully up to 600 MHz. The 600 MHz 5500A-SC600 is a dramatically enhanced version of our popular 300 MHz 5500A-SC300 option. Like the SC300, it is a plug-in module that fits inside the 5500A or 5520A Multi-Product Calibrator. It can be ordered factory installed with a new calibrator, or added later at a Fluke service center for an additional installation and calibration charge.

Fluke offers more ways to match the right oscilloscope calibration tools with your workload and budget. If your workload includes oscilloscopes above 600 MHz, you will want to take a look at our 5520A-SC1100 oscilloscope calibration option. And the powerful Fluke 5820A Oscilloscope Calibrator provides a complete solution for applications dedicated entirely to oscilloscope calibration.

Calibrate virtually all of your oscilloscopes in a real workhorse calibrator

If you need to calibrate oscilloscopes, plus a broad array of other electrical test tools, the SC600 option for the versatile 5500A/5520A Multi-Product Calibrators makes it faster, easier and more cost-effective than ever before. That's because the SC600 enables the versatile 5500A/5520A to fully calibrate nearly all your oscilloscopes up to 600 MHz. That represents the vast majority of oscilloscopes now in use and being purchased_along with all the other workload the 5500A and 5520A address. Nothing comes close to the Fluke multi-product calibrator family in terms of workload coverage, flexibility and ease-of-use. They are rugged, ideal for use on the bench or in the field. And they are surprisingly affordable.

Complete verification and adjustment

Most oscilloscopes have a bandwidth of less than 300 MHz, but the number of higher bandwidth models is growing and may soon be an important part of your calibration workload. The SC600 provides all the functions you need to calibrate today's higher frequency oscilloscopes.

Powerful functionality

The 5500A-SC600 option adds powerful functionality to the 5500A/5520A Multi-Product Calibrators:

  • Voltage source (dc and square wave) for vertical amplitude calibration.
  • Edge source including a 300 ps fast edge with low aberrations_for verifying dynamic response.
  • Leveled sine wave generator to 600 MHz, with excellent flatness and amplitude accuracy_for verifying bandwidth. Time marks in pulsed sawtooth, square and 20% pulse wave forms from 5 seconds to 2 ns with ±2.5 ppm frequency stability and low jitter_for horizontal time base calibration.
  • Waveform generator with square, sine, triangle wave forms_for triggering.
  • TV trigger for NTSC, SECAM, PAL and PAL-M with line marker.
  • External trigger output for time marks, fast edge, voltage and pulse modes.
  • Input resistance, capacitance and overload testing.
  • Pulse generator with variable width and period to verify pulse response and horizontal deflection.

Operation is easy

You access the SC600's capabilities simply by selecting "Scope" mode on the calibrator front panel. All outputs are conveniently located on the calibrator's output block, to make hook-ups easy and to minimize the errors contributed by cabling. There are no fragile, bulky pulse heads to contend with.
