The PLANTSAFE 8000 is a SIL 2 PLC F&G system based on the MTL SafetyNet hardware platform and conforms to SIL 2 as per IEC 61508/61511. The system can be configured with dual or simplex CPU with simplex I/O. The system's rugged open control platform incorporates Modbus TCP with built-in Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE) for redundant communications, providing you simple but secure connections to a wide range of standard software and hardware packages.
