The F173 is a versatile level indicator like the F170 with the ability to have 4 High or Low Alarms with a 4-20 mA output related to the current level. The only difference between the two is that the F173 offers 15 point linearization so it can correctly detect the volume of an awkwardly size tank. This linearization affects all displayed and outputted information so the correction will not need to be done in the next device that is connected. The large 0.67” (17mm) display shows the actual level and measuring units and the smaller 0.31” (8mm) display shows the height or percent that the tank is filled. Two relay outputs are available to transmit the alarm condition, during these alarm conditions the current state is displayed on the LCD. The F173 is offered with a plastic, aluminum, or explosion proof enclosure, or it can be ordered to simply panel mount. The options for powering the unit are battery, IS battery, loop power, 80-240 VAC with sensor supply, IS 16-30 VDC, and 8-24 VAC/VDC. The F173-XI can be used in hazardous areas too, classification EEx ia IIB T4.
