The HygroGen HG2 humidity and temperature generator is designed as a calibrator for relative humidity probes. The HG2 uses a mixed flow method for generating the humidity (%RH) required by the user. A desiccant cartridge provides low humidity, a saturator high humidity, and a control system mixes these together to create a constant environment within a well insulated chamber. Temperature is controlled with a Peltier thermoelectric heat pump. The HG2 typically requires less than 5 minutes to equilibrate from one humidity condition to another and can accommodate up to five probes simultaneously.
The HG2 is our second generation of humidity and temperature generators and uses an embedded PC for the accurate control of both humidity and temperature conditions.
The HG2 features a user friendly touch screen graphical interface as well as a programmable ramp and soak function with multiple steps and profiles. The HG2 is pre-loaded with the ROTRONIC HW4-P data acquisition software which is used for calibrating and adjusting the HygroClip 2 probes and other AirChip 3000 humidity measurement devices.
The HG2 is a self-contained unit requiring no external resources except mains power. In addition, it can also be used together with a chilled mirror reference instrument.
