The Trident RS-232 & RS-485 Isolated Multi-input Adapter Board model PDA7488 is a simple way to connect up to 6 Trident meters to your serial network at a single point. The adapter connects to a RS-232 serial port on your computer or onto an RS-422/485 serial network and is attached to the Trident meters via the included PDA7420 cables. The single point aspect of the adapter helps to easily increase the number of RS-485 devices allowed on the serial bus by reducing the network loading. The adapter also includes status LEDs to help detect serial communication errors. The PDA7488 has 1500 VAC isolation between input to output and TX to RX line. To add RS-422/485 to your computer use either the RS-232 to RS-485 serial converter model PDA7485 or the USB to RS-485 serial converter model PDA8485.
