HF34 Thermo-HygroStat (integral probe) (HF34)
Fabricant: Rotronic

Commençant à: $425.00 (USD)
Stock Status: 2 à 3 semaines

The HF34 thermo-hygrostat is designed for applications where conditions are within the range of 0 to 100 %RH and -40 to 60°C (-40 to 140°F). Depending on the model, the HF34 has one or two relays corresponding to relative humidity, temperature or to the dew or frost point. The HF34 is well suited for simple tasks such as alarming, the switching of dryers, humidifiers, etc. The key features of the HF34 will satisfy application requirements ranging from the most basic to demanding.

The HF34 is available in different configurations - see ordering codes - and has an extensive set of settings and functions that can be configured and enabled by the user with the ROTRONIC HW4 software.

In spite of its sophistication, the HF34 can still be used just as a simple conventional humidity and temperature thermo-hygrostat. Whether you decide or not to take advantage of its full potential, the HF34 will let you have it your way.

Key Features

Measures relative humidity and temperature, or humidity only, or temperature only

Calculates the dew or frost point

Integral probe - cannot be separated from transmitter. Duct (through-wall probe) or wall mount configurations

Operating limits: 0...100%RH and -40...60°C / -40...140°F

Accuracy at 23 °C: ± 2.0 %RH and ± 0.3 °C

► Supply voltage: 8 to 40 VDC / 12 to 28 VAC

Relay type: SPDT (single pole double throw), rating: 250 VAC, 6A (resistive load)

► Set-point adjustment: by software or with surface mount potentiometer located on PCB

► Energized relay indication: LED located on PCB, next to relay

► Configurable: parameter corresponding to relay, adjustment range of the set point potentiometer and dead band

► Automatic RH sensor test with optional sensor drift correction

► Configurable fail safe mode: fixed humidity and temperature signals in the event of a humidity or temperature sensor failure

► Internal service connector for full access to the HF34 settings and functions

HF34 Thermo-Hygrostat: Relay Operation

Relay operation diagram

Configuration of the set point potentiometer span and dead band

Connect the HF34 to a PC (service cable required) and use the HW4 software for the following:

  • Set point potentiometer span: Position the set point potentiometer half-way through its span and use HW4 to specify the values corresponding to the minimum and maximum of the potentiometer span. As long as the potentiometer has been precisely positioned half-way through its span, the set point is automatically centered between these two values.

  • Dead band: Use HW4 to specify the value of the dead band

Notes:

  • HW4 can be used to precisely read on the PC screen the value of both the set point and the dead band
  • Adjustment of the set point with the potentiometer is made easier when using a narrow scale for the potentiometer span. Using the example of a 50.0 %RH set point, it is much easier to precisely adjust the potentiometer with a span of 48 to 52 %RH than with a span of 0 to 100 %RH. At the same time, it should be noted that a potentiometer span of 48 to 52 %RH limits any future touch-up of the set point in the field to only ± 2.0 %RH.
  • The set point can also be directly entered with HW4 by entering the same value (set point) for both the low and high end of the
set point potentiometer span. Example: enter 50 and 50 for a set point of 50 %RH. In that case, the actual position of the potentiometer has no effect on the set point and it is not possible to adjust the set point with the potentiometer.
