S20/S40 Direct Immersion Sanitary Sensors
Fast response, heavy duty 1/4" to 1/8" & 1/2" to 1/4" sensors available as RTD or thermocouple
The S20 features a 1/4″ diameter probe with a 1/8″ diameter tip for a fast time response. The time constant is less than 2.5 seconds when measured in water moving at 3 feet per second. Suitable for a wide variety of temperature measurements in food/beverage and pharmaceutical applications. The Minimum recommended immersion length is 3.5 inches to ensure an accurate measurement in most process fluids. Available with a variety of connection heads, indicators, or extension cable. The M12 connector option provides for an IP67 rating when mated so it can remain installed during washdown.
Heavy-duty defines the Model S40. The 1/2″ diameter stem and 1/4″ diameter tip section are designed to withstand high velocity and/or viscous fluids while still providing a fast 3.5 second time constant required for high-temperature short time (HTST) pasteurization processes.
