If galling occurs on a sanitary clamp, the nut and bolt fuse together so operators can’t easily remove the clamp. In fact, operators may have to cut off the clamp to remove it, which often causes delays and disruptions to the manufacturing process. Anti-galling clamps are designed to prevent the adhesion of materials due to friction and to keep critical processes running smoothly.
