Supported Applications

The Omega LVCN-131 and LVCN-141 Series are general-purpose flow controllers designed for low-flow pump and process protection. The series provides fail-safe relay control to manage flow conditions in industrial systems.

• LVCN-141: Single input, single output configuration for basic flow monitoring.
• LVCN-131: Dual input, dual output configuration for simultaneous low-flow control of two independent sensors.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The controllers operate on a 120 / 240 VAC power supply at 50 - 60 Hz with maximum consumption of 5 Watts. They provide sensor excitation via 24 VDC @ 100 mA output to connected flow switches.

• Electronics temperature range: F: -40° to 158°, C: -40° to 70°
• Contact rating: 250 VAC @ 10A (resistive load)
• Relay delay: Configurable from 0 to 60 seconds

The series includes LED indicators for sensor, power, and relay status. A fail-safe feature ensures proper operation during power failure.

Configuration Options

The LVCN-131/-141 Series is housed in a polypropylene enclosure rated PP (U.L. 94 VO) with dimensions of 3.9" width, 2.7" height, and 3.6" depth. The unit features a 35mm DIN rail mount design compliant with EN 50 022.

Outputs and Connections

• LVCN-141: (1) SPDT Relay output; accepts one flow switch input.
• LVCN-131: (2) SPDT Relays outputs; accepts two flow switches inputs.

Relay contacts are selectable as Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). An invert switch allows changing the relay state from NO to NC without rewiring. Electrical connections utilize removable terminal strips.

Important usage constraints include the prohibition of use with explosive or flammable liquids (requiring intrinsically safe systems) and human applications. The housing is not designed for immersion and must be mounted in a dry location.
